Bradley went to his first high school football game. He was very excited. Saucon (our school and Black and Red team) played against Wilson High School - State Champions last year. The parking lot was packed. There were thousands on people there. It was a very exciting first high school game for Bradley.
Looking over the fence at the players.
Watching the game.
Bradley's football team was also at the game. After a few minutes....and I mean like 5!, he wanted to go and hook up with them. I just stepped back and let him have his time. I told him if he needed me, I would be right here "under this tree" or if we got separated and I couldn't find him, to meet me at the snack bar. He did excellent. He had his time, but ever so often kept looking for me.. :-) When they announced the winner of the 50/50 raffle, he came to me to see if I had won.....we didn't, but his caring little boy personality came through and made me very proud.

Playing with teammates.
Bradley "signed" to me that we was thirsty. So I gave him $5. He and his buddies walked around the whole football field to get gatorades at the snack bar. They are taking a break here. He felt so grown up with his independence.

A picture of the boys and field.
Then a group of girls from school came over to "play" with the boys. It was a little sad to see this, just knowing that in a few short years, life will change so much for him. Growing up. We sure hope we have taught him well. In this picture the boys kept throwing the ball and hitting the girls - (flirting, altho they don't know about that yet) I kept watching Bradley from "afar" to see if he would do the same. We have always taught him never to hit a girl or anything like that, so he made me so proud. He didn't participate in the "throwing of the football" like the other boys were. He would just chase them.
At the beginning of the third quarter, John was ready to go, so I was checking with Bradley to see if we could leave (he said "if you are ready Mommy"). We were just about to leave and another Mom came over, Mrs. Kern, and offered to keep Bradley with her and a few of the other football players. I left and he came home with her....boy what a night he had.....Thank you Mrs. Kern - Bradley felt so mature when he came home!
Until next post....Oh yeah, we lost like 34-6....
