Boy, am I exhausted....It was a very hectic and frustrating morning for me. I have been recording all my Pay Per View movies onto the Tivo and of course, you who know me, know that I copy them onto a DVD. Well, I had 100 hours of movies to copy...I finally finished this afternoon, but this morning when i woke up at 6, i just couldn't go back to sleep - I didn't know if i had enough time to finish recording before the movers un hooked everything...so i just got up and started recording again...then just started my day.
At 8:00 I went out to move my car from the driveway, knowing the semi would be arriving any minute, while out there, I get John's shoes and take a garbage bag out to the trash can. I put John's shoes on him, we play outside for a few minutes, (taking the grand tour of every inch of our property) then his school bus arrives. He always walks to the bus and gets on, but being little, children like him need to be strapped in there seats, which is done by the parent...so i get on the bus and strap him in his seat...i hurry off the bus as I do every morning, so that i can run around to the other side and sign fun things for him to think about during the day and wish him well. As the bus leaves, one of my neighbors drives up to our house so that her son and hang with Bradley till time to leave for the bus, so I go over and talk with her for a minute.
I come in the house and get the other chidldren ready for school...we are rushing as usual - I am ready to get in the car to take them to the bus stop and can't find my car keys anywhere...We have 4 minutes to get to the bus stop. so I am running around like a chicken with my head cut off...normally i would just run into the house and get my extra key from the cabinet above the fridge...well, it is packed so that aint happenin'! so after backtracking my steps, no keys...i am thinking, maybe i dropped them in the disgusting trash can, or maybe they were in the sand box...at any rate, i run into the house and get my plastic "emergency key"...it has always worked in the past. So we get into the car, i put the key in, turn the key, and the darn car won't start! I can't figure it out!, the only thing i can think of is that i need both pieces of the plastic key thingy together to make it start, like maybe it is a safety theft deterrent thing...so i give up. So Bradley and his friend take off running to the bus stop...(they actually got picked up by a neighbor and drove down) blossom stayed with me thinking i was going to let her stay home!
luckily brad was home, he took blossom to school in his CONVERTIBLE CORVETTE...now bradley and blossom always fight over who is going to ride in the corvette with daddy, but since bradley had already gone, blossom was in hog heaven. so off they went in the "little red corvette"... BRAD IN HOG HEAVEN TOO...being the stud that he truly is, he normally is in the minivan, but he truly enjoys showing off his stuff and his hotness in his corvette...and he looks GOOD too!..
so i am at home and a few seconds later the truck driver shows up with the rig...meanwhile i just keep thinking, where in the heck are my keys...and will i have to take my car in to the garage before we move...so the truck pulls up and the first thing he says to me is...can you move your car....uh, hello...so i said, no i am so sorry i lost my keys...so he and the loaders had to push my car uphill this morning to move it so they could start loading.
After I gave them the tour, I called John's bus driver to see if my keys were there and YES she had my keys on the school bus! the bus is one of those special needs buses and only a few seats and even less children who are all strapped in, so no one picked them up....but i had no car till john got back home...then a few minutes later, bradley called from school and he forgot his math book and needed it by 12:15. The bus couldn't turn around in the cul de sac because the big tractor trailer was there, I had to walk to the end of the street (pulling a wagon) to pick up John, He won't walk up the hill and he is too heavy to carry, so he got a sweet ride in the wagon, i got my keys and sped off to bradley's school to get him his book at 12:17...it all worked out...thank goodness!
here are a few pics of the day...
see the "little red corvette" (you know, the Prince song)
notice all the cardboard taped to the floor to protect them.
empty truck...(not for long)
at the end of the day, the truck is 1/2 full and the house is 1/2 empty...we are hoping we don't need another trailer...to be continuted
