THRIFT SHOPPING...

this week i got hooked on 'craigslist' - i was looking for a tv and FOUND ONE...and 32' for $50!...so I bought it...

Today i stopped at a yard sale...and boy did i find some good things...

4 dinosaurs

1 wire block puzzle thingy

drag race cars

3 pair of shorts for john

baseball glove bat and ball shelf

exercise ball (large)

one "cars" find-it book

a fire truck lift the flap book

a construction lift the flap book

and the book i have been wanted to get..."Tuesdays with Morrie"....all for

oh, yeah, and the lady gave Johnny a cookie that her little girl was selling at her lemonade stand...

all for $19.50

Then i went to another one...and got this...

The lady wanted $30.  I got it for $25.  I have it posted on "craig's list" right now for $100....let's see how i do!

ALSO...this week on Craig's list...I sold...

these 4 chairs for $60...CAROL these were like hotcakes...i probably received about 10 inquiries on these...

and sold this...for $50

...boy this "flipping" and "selling" stuff is addicting!  Can you believe I went to the yard sale and actually bought something just to re-sell it....is that crazy or what!

Anyway...enjoy...oh yeah...and Blossom was the official craig's list photographer!

Daddy decided this year, no money spent on gifts for fathers day, he wanted all homemade things...hence the cookie! - i saved $10...and it was much better than store bought...i used the nestle toll house recipe from the bag (followed exactly) then just baked in pan...it was probably 3/4 inch thick and very soft!

Bradley's gift to daddy...he wrote "I love Daddy" 500 times!

Blossom's idea was to ("finally") use the cement molds i bought while in Buffalo...so she made her hand print...

 

After several attempts at molding John's hand...he is very sensitive to unusual tactiles, so i really struggled to get his hand in the cement several times...after three tries, we did the foot.

John is having a "limping" problem with his leg...this is at the hospital for an x-ray...

x-ray showed nothing, so i had blood work done...say prayers for him.

so i saw this sign after church last sunday...i called on this and it is a boot camp style fit camp - at 5:30 am! in the park...boy it is fun...

OK, so I weigh in for my first week tomorrow...saturday...i am very excited to get on the scale.  i have been running a lot.

sunday i ran 4 miles.

mon - 4

tue - off

wed 5.5

thurs 4.0

fri 4.0

for a total of 17.5. i plan on running tomorrow BEFORE i weigh in...so i am very anxious....wish me luck...

on another note...

I joined weight watcher's again..again, yeah i know...but i am going to stick with it this time. 

i ran again this morning...4 miles...i ran saturday 2.4...so 6.4 miles sat and sun....my goal is to run 4 miles per day....and increase my speed to get it done in one hour....

monday i ran 4 miles...plan on increasing to five miles on Wednesday...took tuesday off. late night triple overtime hockey game!

There is an awesome public park here, Adventure Park... the children love it.  it has a little play area for John and a public pool...and a skate park...and did i mention it is a public park...a free skate park! WOW.  Bradley and Blossom were so excited to go...here are a few pix.
