i just love this idea....take something old and blah...

making it into something cute and funky....i paid $3.99 for this at Salvation Army yesterday

cropped and trimmed sweater..i was going to shorten the sleeves to 3/4 length, but decided against that...i actually love the cuffs...i can't wait to wear it!

i just love the scalloping!  thanks again - SO MUCH - to my friend kelly for the idea of the scalloping...so easy AND cute!  i made these cards for a girls birthday party blossom is attending on sunday.

NOW these.....my good friend in California had twin boys 6 months ago...i had every intention of making her a gift...well, here it is 6 months later and i still have not sent anything....the other day she was checking out my blog and saw john's bibs and asked me to make some for her....WHAT AN HONOR!  someone actually wants something i made.  This is only the second time in my 15 years(?) crafting that someone actually WANTED something!  It feels great.  I made the bibs out of vintage style fabrics.  i love them...i actually love them more than john's... Karen - enjoy the bibs and please don't hesitate to ask me for more things.....i love crafting and when i make stuff most of the time it doesn't go anywhere..so i truly enjoyed making these for you....expect a package soon!

john has outgrown his little baby bibs, so after seeing melissa's sewing i decided (a few weeks ago) that john too needed bigger bibs...they turned out pretty well.  i tried using a snap, but it was just too confusing...it might have not been so bad if the lady at the craft store would have given me the correct setting tool!  (well, i WILL return it)...at any rate, one is a snap closure, one is a button, and one ties.. the basket ball has two different sides...camo and basketball.  i like that, but much harder to line up when sewing around the edges..

when he saw the baseball one, he just loved it..here he is saying "ball" it is probably the only word he is completely and fully.  he loves the movie Everyone's Hero.  It is Christopher Reeve's final movie and Dana Reeve has a voiceover in it.  So once he saw the baseball, he just wanted it so bad!

PACKAGE TO GREAT GRAMPA

this is a little something i whipped up this morning.  Great Grampa Ray still has easter decorations up in his room...

it is a banner for grampa's room...it reads "happy fall grampa" with a picture of each of the children..

USING THE FABRIC

This is a pair of Old Navy pants I bought on clearance yesterday. Girls size 2T...I added a belt, ruffled the bottom and made a hair bow to match....(I still have to finish the belt - i need to add the "D" ring)
